Initially, at the request of a documentary, I composed this piece on my iphone (as I usually do) inspired by the emotions of missing my wife, losing a good friend, Reginald Canty (left us in Oct2021) and surviving tragedies.
The song's original length is 5min and will be featured as a bonus track on GT's April 2022 release titled "QuincyPhones & the Collaba Nation: Notes from 2020". This version was edited, mixed & mastered by Wil Black of Black Gypsy Music.
We are in the initial stages of starting a foundation in which proceeds from selected pieces that "GT/QuincyPhones" composes, go to artists with passions to contribute to our world of art. This song is dedicated to the Spirit of Reginald Canty, Detroit Bass Players Group Worldwide, and people driven to pursue their art with little or no assistance from others.
